Have a Seat!

As the final event of MAMA’s Poule programme (2021–2022), Ratri Notosudirdjo, Annosh Urbanke and Honey Kraiwee organised a three-day programme with sessions on storytelling. The programme Have a Seat! reflects through various events on storytelling in curating, in speaking with the audience, and the role of stories in healing and self-care practices

Day 1 – 11 February 2022 - Interweaving Storytelling in Curating
A dinner with interactive window presentation on the Witte de Withstraat
With contributions by Katayoun Arian, Eva Posas, Alexandra Martens Serrano, Jo-Lene Ong, Sami Hammana, Clara Balaguer, Leana Boven, moderated by Nathalie Hartjes and catered by De Citroen.
Day 2 – 12 February 2022 - Stories and the Body
Participatory presentations with the knowledge of healing practitioners
Presentation on massage with Rajiv Bhagwanbali, and on Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and herbal healing with Dopey Calor on the practice of I-Lotus
Day 3 – 13 February 202 - Moving Away from Consuming Tales
Participatory presentation by Kexin Hao
The visual essay “The Timeless Morphs” 3 Body Sessions” proposes the physical body as a processual, non-linear, and moving archive. With which remembering is a timeless tool to liberate the disciplined, to empower the powerless. In the act of storytelling, the visual essay will be followed by a public gym session.
